We had a great time at Steve’s birthday party, thanks Jean, for inviting us to entertain you and your friends! They had a forties theme, which fit us very well!

And here’s a little video..

30s, 40s, 50s….jazz, swing….upbeat for dancing….. romantic and smoochy…we do it all!

Yes! At last we’ve managed to arrange a gig in Cardiff, for our Cardiff friends! It’ll be on Saturday, 11th Feb, 2023 in St Mary’s hall in Canton, further details and tickets nearer the date.
And for our Bristol friends? Well, we’re in Resound on Blackhorse Road on the night before, the 10th Feb.
Something for everyone!
Four years ago, room 10 got together for the first time…a very different group of people to who we are now! But with about half of us stalwarts from the start, I think I can still confidently say we’re still the same room 10 band!
Here are a few pics from the last four years – and now we’re back to our full complement of nine, and rehearsing madly, I’m sure we’ll soon have more performance photos to add to these. 😁
Onward and upward!
And finally, in those halcyon Room 10 days….
I’m back, singing with (some of) the band! Only six people outdoors, so far. But we’re getting there! This is the first time I’d sung with them in nearly eight months, so as the the song goes “I found a thrill…”
Room 10 are looking for more gigs this year – it’s what we like doing best!
Please contact us on our contacts page if you’d like to discuss costs etc – we might be cheaper than you think! (And if we’re not…maybe we can sort something out….)
We had a longer rehearsal tonight, as it’s the last before Sunday’s gig. We wanted to go over our entire set, and we’re doing lots of new material – it needed work!
Lovely Rich, the bassist, brought along some extra equipment to help me with the vocals, so I’ll be actually able to hear myself – what a novelty!
I really enjoyed myself tonight, so if you come along to the Warmley Jazz Club on Sunday afternoon, if you enjoy yourself a quarter as much as I did this evening, you’ll have a great time!
We’re regrouping a bit – learning lots of new numbers, and going over old ones that we’ve not attempted for ages! Interesting…!
We’re also planning to have a promo video recorded – we’re still considering a good venue to use. (Any ideas?)
Mark, Hazel and I (Pat) popped over to beautiful Tetbury today, to check out the venue of our next gig https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/southwestlive/1940s-sweetheart-ball/e-zzopyy
It’s all looking fab – we’re very happy with the hall, and it’s a good sized stage too. It’s very central – this famous building is just round the corner!
Such a pretty part of the country, we’ll enjoy visiting.
We’ve been booked to do our set in a 1940s event at the beginning of June, in Tetbury. It sounds like a fantastic night out!
More details as and when we have them (I don’t think this one is a private party, so you might be able to come along!)
